The ground breaking of the proposed Sorsogon Coliseum on January 15, 2024 is expected after completion on December 2025 as another landmark of the province.
Its architectural marvel includes iconic rounded columns with five Neo classical architectural elements resembling the columns of the provincial capitol building as seen in the ruins of ancient Parthenon of Greece.
Its strong architectural elements speaks of the commitment of the provincial leaders that the province is governed by conscientious leaders that money spend is within the concept of money for peso audit.
With 11,745.027 square meters lot area that will house parking spaces, a grand reception lobby, commercial spaces, indoor basketball court cum event center and rest rooms. Included is a VIP and athlete’s lounge aside from office spaces and a pull out stage.
The interior will be fully air conditioned with a large LED screen to offer a vantage view for 9,111 seats.
With footprint dimension of 64 meters by 120 meters and a gross floor area of 10,628 square meters.
This monumental structure after completion is capable of hosting regional and national events as the province prepares for the upsurge of domestic tourist arrivals side by side with other public works projects in the pipeline that includes the upgrade of the rural airport as a domestic hub.
