The Sorsogon contingent consisting of athletes, coaches, trainors, chaperons and support staff for Palarong Bikol 2024 was send off by Governor Edwin Hamor early today as the game kicks off April 28 until May 4 in three venues in Albay as host of the top tier Bicol sporting event.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the sacrifices of the contingents especially the high spirit of the athletes who by themselves will bring honor and glory for Sorsogon. He also lauded the parents for allowing their children to be one of the beacons of Sorsogon sports in days to come.
The province released the accumulated share of the Special Education Fund to cover the expenses of the Sorsogon delegations to prepare them for best results in their respective events.
The city of Ligao will host eight events and the cities of Tabaco and Legaspi will be the venue of other events.
