This was discussed in an overarching strategy between the provincial government of Sorsogon and the city government pooling the creative minds of the two local governments and collectively aiming to produce the largest nut brittle in the world using the Pili nut.
Sorsogon produces 3,968.61 metric tons or 63.32 percent of the Bicol pili nut output representing 54.54 percent share of the national Pili Nut output.
