Hours to go for Sorsogon Kasanggayahan Festival 2023

SORSOGON (October 7, 2023)The Kasanggayahan Festival 2023 is only hours away and the expectations are running high as lined-up activities will showcase what the Province of Sorsogon as it pitches an open invitation to domestic and international tourists in rebranding the province by its tourism slogan “Beautiful Sorsogon”

The Festival is a vehicle for rebranding Sorsogon province with “Beautiful Sorsogon” as a tourism slogan as natural and man-made attractions unique as it is revived for posterity. Sorsogon Provincial Tourism Culture and Arts Office initiated a Cultural Mapping identifying historical and cultural traditions and beliefs opening an opportunity to develop the untouched and undeveloped tourism areas that have the hidden marvel of its own.

The activities lined up for the ten-day Kasanggayahan Festival 2023 on October 8-17, this year heralds the rich culture and traditions of the province giving importance to the Power of the Women and its responsible attention to children. The fisherfolks as heroes of the sea will have its grand day as they compete for the best catch in the deep of Bacon District.

From parades, cultural performances, festival of festivals, concerts, revisiting history in Gibalon, Magallanes to celebrate the First Catholic Mass in the Island of Luzon, riding the waves at Lola Sayong, the muscles for Triathlon, the flawless LGBTQIA PasikLAVAN, concerts and drink as you may for GINOMAN, bakers fair capping the activities is the fireworks display.

But in consonance with the Kagandahan and Kalinigan advocacies, it is hoped that the festival is also a Festival for Green and Clean Sorsogon.
