Talented Young Photographer from Sorsogon City secures Honorable Mention in Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk 2023

Sorsogon City, Philippines – Renowned photographer, award-winning author, and CEO of KelbyOne, Scott Kelby, has officially announced the winners and honorable mentions from this year’s highly anticipated Worldwide Photo Walk.

Among the celebrated talents is Nash Jamrec Dioquino, a young and gifted photographer from Sorsogon City in the Bicol Region.

Nash secured a well-deserved place as one of the Honorable Mentions in the 2023 Worldwide Photo Walk, a global event that unites thousands of photographers in a shared celebration of their passion for humanity and storytelling.

“Participating in the local photowalk organized by Kurit-Lagting and CAP Bicol was an incredible journey. The vibrant scenes of Sorsogon City provided an inspiring backdrop, and being recognized globally as one of the Honorable Mentions is truly humbling. It reinforces the belief that every image has a story, and photography is a powerful medium for storytelling,” Nash said.

Geri Matthew “Choi” Carretero, co-founder, and art director of the esteemed Kurit-Lagting Art Collective, as well as a dedicated member of CAP Bicol, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Nash’s achievement reflects the exceptional talent within our local community and the vibrant artistic spirit fostered by organizations like Kurit-Lagting and Concerned Artists of the Philippines Bicol Chapter.”

Scott Kelby himself acknowledged the outstanding quality of the submissions, stating, “Although there’s only one winner, I felt that some images were so good that, even though they didn’t win a prize, they still deserved to be recognized. Therefore, I present here our Photo Walk Competition Honorable Mentions.”
