A Catholic priest, who wants to serve as town councilor, filed his Certificate of Candidacy or COC in Bacacay, Albay.
The candidate priest is Fr. Emmanuel Alparce, who is with the Diocese of Sorsogon serving the church for 21 years, will now walk the path of politics.
His party is Liberal Party with incumbent Mayor Dinky Romano.
Putting this on record, this is the first time in Albay history that a priest will run in an election.
