Preparations are underway in Naga City, Camarines Sur for the grand “miting de avance” of Team Leni-Kiko for Friday, May 6.
Organizers are expecting a crowd of 300,000 or more, as Pink supporters from other Bicol provinces have pledged to attend.
A portion of busy Magsaysay Avenue, main road of Central Business District was closed starting 12:01 AM Tuesday, May 3 until 5:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The closure is to allow wider space for work crew to construct a big stage for use during the “miting de avance” on Friday.
Magsaysay Avenue is where the city’s best hotels, restaurants, and business offices are located.
According to the Naga City Government, the closed portion along Magsaysay Avenue, is from the Magsaysay Bridge up to the corner of Balatan – Dayangdang Roads.
Presidential bet Leni Robredo is from Naga City.
Leni’s late husband, Jesse Robredo, was city Mayor for many years before his appointment by then President Noynoy Aquino as DILG Secretary, a position he held until the fatal plane crash in August, 2012.
