MAGALLANES, Sorsogon – Three (3) candidates for board member in the 1st congressional district of Sorsogon are likely to be replaced or removed from the line-up of Atty. Joven Laura NPC standard bearer who is running for mayor in Magallanes, Sorsogon.
Laura confirmed to Bicol Express News his previous statement that not one but three candidates, without naming them, are going to crawl their way to win votes in the town.
He confirmed that end-termer city councilor Larry Dioneda, who is running as an independent board member in the district, earns his support and was already introduced to his group.
Laura and Dioneda both worked together with the city council.
“I am a true-blooded son of Magallanes and my strength is my relatives whose numbers cannot be overlooked aside from my formidable slate,” Laura said.
“If one leans to my opponent I set them aside”, said Laura as he keenly observes the political landscape and has plans for this kind of scenario for party allies who have not considered his political base and recklessly betrayed him in favor of the wife-and- husband team.
“It’s to my advantage from that beginning to know the color of their skin,” he said.
In a party pre-election survey of voter preference for mayor of the town, Laura consistently leads over his opponent.
