A total of 91 individuals were caught violating the minimum health standard in different parts of Sorsogon City by the composite team monitoring observance of the regulations imposed by Bicol-IATF to lessen the spread of COVID-19. Sorsogon City is now a high-risk area as the number of individuals with positive cases of the virus continue to rise.
The team composed of SK3 Personnel, PNP, BFP, Coastguard, CDRRMO and CPIO were on the look-out of persons without a facemask and those who ignored social distancing in public.
The operation was conducted April 16 netting 91 violators who were hauled to the city police station their names taken were lectured on the danger that they may be part of the asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 causing unknowingly additional burden to their families and the public. They were warned as a first offender and subsequent violations will be penalized.
