CASIGURAN, Sorsogon – The red rainfall category in the province of Sorsogon did not stop the Local Government Unit of Casiguran town to serve their constituents with a different kind of medical access today, April 19 by launching a mobile X-ray unit that assisted 234 persons suffering mostly from chest and lung problems.
Supervised by Dr, Juan Carlos Caindec RHU in charge the caravan hopes to give free radiologic x-ray until April 20 for the remaining 83 listed to avail it. The initiative listing is 200 individuals. He urged those to take the opportunity especially those with difficulty in breathing and suffering from cough for proper medical assistance.
According to Angel Ayala, Information Officer, the x-ray caravan is a commitment and part of the health priorities of Mayor Edwin Hamor to low-income families. The local health unit and its friendly hospital does not have a piece of x-ray equipment. To have one with a trained radiologic technician is the next move of the town executive is also in the pipeline.
