Sorsogon City Mayor Ester Hamor on Monday handed over one million pesos fund to 7 barangays.
These recipient barangays are Bato, Balogo, Balete, Poblacion in the Bacon District, Rizal, Tugos in the West District, and Cabid-an in the East District.
This amount is from the 20% Development Fund under the City Government’s Barangay Development Program whose main purpose is to provide assistance by providing additional funds to all City barangays, enabling them to carry out the planned and lined-up development projects.
Mayor Hamor said the barangay fund allocation by the City Government should be used correctly to ensure the people must benefit from it.
