LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY – Police Regional Director for Bicol ordered in-depth investigation into the explosion that took place inside the campus of Bicol University on October 4, 2021.
Initial investigation revealed that, at 6:30 a.m. Monday, two consecutive explosions occurred inside the campus.
Police found shrapnel’s at the blast scene.
After the blasts, joint personnel of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5 and Criminal Investigation Detection Group immediately responded.
PNP Bicol alerted the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team and Legazpi City Police Station to ensure security in the area.
Currently, the PNP Bicol is closely monitoring the incident to determine who was behind the incident and the motive for the explosion.
Meanwhile, the entire police force in Bicol remains on full alert status.
This is in order to ensure safety and order in various parts of the region.
