The highest number of COVID-19 cases hit Friday, August 20, 2021, the Department of Health recorded 17,231 additional COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, 5,595 were cured and 317 died.
Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 6.8% (123,251) were active cases, 91.5% (1,653,351) were cured, and 1.73% (31,198) died.
According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on August 18, 2021 while there were 2 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 2 labs was approximately 0.03% in all samples tested and 0.08% in all positive individuals.
In the coming days, our COVID-19 cases may increase.
