Aksyon Demokratiko believes in the sunshine principle of its founder, Sen. Raul S. Roco: “microbes will not multiply if they are exposed to the sun.”

“No transactions should be hidden,” Aksyon Demokratiko said in a statement, referring to top Health officials refusal to be audited.

“We believe that many competent and sensible staff of the Department of Health are affected by the misfortune and lack of leadership of Sec. Francisco Duque”, said Aksyon.

” Duque should have resigned a long time ago to restore Filipinos’ confidence in the DOH.”

In the statement, Aksyon said “We fully support and trust the Commission on Audit in questioning and disclosing questionable or anomalous transactions with any government agency.”

“It must not be hindered, intimidated or humiliated by anyone in power in order for it to fulfill its mandate from our Constitution,” said Aksyon.

“We are talking about the people’s money, so those in charge must organize.”
