PH COVID-19 Update: 11,085 new cases, 161 death

The Department of Health recorded 11,085 cases of COVID-19, Wednesday, August 18, 2021,

Meanwhile, 11,628 were cured and 161 died.

Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 5.9% (105,151) were active cases, 92.4% (1,640,721) were cured, and 1.72% (30,623) died.

According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on August 16, 2021 while there were 9 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 9 labs was approximately 3.9% in all samples tested and 5.6% in all positive individuals.
