Mayor Edwin Hamor had issued an executive order enforcing new curfew hours in the municipality of Casiguran, Sorsogon from 8:00 in the evening to 4:00 in the morning.

Mayor Hamor issued the curfew order that will start on Sunday night, January 23, 2022.

Through Executive Order No. 001 series 2022, AN ORDER ENFORCING CURFEW IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CASIGURAN, SORSOGON FROM 8:00 P.M. TO 4:00 A.M.

The Mayor said the Province of Sorsogon is now placed at Alert Level 3 due to increasing cases of COVID-19 this 2022;

He said an immediate and effective response from this level is needed as the number of COVID-19 cases in Casiguran continuously increasing, though 80% of its target population has been fully vaccinated;

Important provisions in the Order, says no individual shall remain in any public place during curfew hours, except:

a) Government workers who are on duty during curfew hours;
b) Workers of public utility companies/agencies conducting maintenance or emergency work;
c) Individuals traveling to or from work;
d) Individuals attending the wake of a family member; and
e) All medical, emergency and disaster cases.

Any person found violating this curfew regulation shall be apprehended and held temporarily at the Casiguran gymnasium.

The Casiguran police (PNP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and the barangays shall be responsible in the implementation of this order.
