More than 300 substandard Christmas lights and various overpriced goods were confiscated in several malls and supermarkets in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

Naga City Price Coordinating Council chaired by City Councilor Jose Perez, Chairman of SP Committee on Consumer Protection, conducted surprise inspection and price monitoring on Friday, October 29.

According to Perez, this is in line with the upcoming holiday season, to ensure that there are no substandard products such as Christmas lights.

“This is to maintain the Suggested Retail Prices (SRPs) of noche buena food items, candles, and various goods in the city markets, and to protect the welfare of our consumers amid the raging pandemic,” Councilor Perez said.
