Mayor Bong Mendoza presented for implementation the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), or a 10-year Master Plan for which contains various programs and projects for the town of Castilla, Sorsogon, and to provide solutions to various problems of its constituents.
It can be recalled, Mayor Mendoza had assured that Castilla will have a CLUP for the coming 2021-2030 with the aim of maintaining, and further improving the development the town has been achieving in improving the lives of constituents.
On December 7, 2021, the said plan was submitted to the Provincial Land Use Committee together with its Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Elmer Mirandilla – Chairman of the Land Use Committee, Hon. Salome Marantal – Vice Chairman of LUC, and member Hon. Vilma Marticio.
The MPDO, MENRO, MDRRMO, MEO offices also led the preparations, in discussions with the participating agencies such as DPWH, DENR, DAR, PhiVolcs, Provincial Agriculture and Engineering Office.
The Provincial Land Use Committee recommended some additional methods and suggestions for a more comprehensive and effective plan.
They proposed its ratification through the Sangguniang Bayan Resolution which is expected to be the key to approving the said plan.
