An unidentified gunman on Wednesday afternoon pumped 5 bullets into the body of an aide of San Jose Mayor Marco P. Chavez MD in Camarines Sur.
The aide, Jonathan Clidoro, former barangay captain of Catalotoan , San Jose was talking to two persons at his house when the gunman on motorcycle passed by and fired shots at him.
The incident happened at Barangay Catalotoan at about 2:30 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Victim Clidoro sustained 5 gunshot wounds on the chest and was rushed to the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City.
Reports said the victim was in stable condition.
Meanwhile, initial police report said 5 shells of unknown caliber and three slugs were recovered from the crime scene.
P/staff seargent Michael Olivarez said police investigation is still ongoing and no further details can be made public for the time being.
The shooting is the first recorded election- related violence in the 4th District of Camarines Sur.
