Fire gutted down 6 houses at Libod 1, Libmanan, Camarines Sur, late Tuesday evening, March 1.
The fire incident coincided with the start of Fire Prevention Month on March 1, after a week of fire awareness campaign in communities by the Bureau of Fire Department (BFP).
Sr. Inspector Victor Velasco, Fire Marshall of BFP Libmanan said the houses were built on light materials, possibly an electric spark that started in one of the houses Tuesday afternoon had grown later into a fire that early evening, razing down 6 houses.
The affected families fled into safety, no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire might be faulty electrical wiring or overloaded connection.
BFP was still investigating.
