The body of a fisherman reported missing was found this Monday morning off Sorsogon City.
Fisherman Ronel Dino, 47, of Barangay Bon-ot, Sorsogon City, was reported missing on February 24.
The victim went to sea near their barangay, but was never seen again.
Only his boat was seen by another fisherman in the afternoon.
The Sorsogon City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office conducted a search and rescue operation with the Philippine Coastguard from February 25 until Sunday, but failed to locate the missing fisherman.
At around 7:30 this Monday morning, a resident of Barangay Bonga, a nearby barangay, saw Rodel’s corpse floating in the mangroves.
