Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol, thru its Masbate Provincial Field Office held a three (3)-day face-to-face Job and Trade Fair and Skill Profiling, in conjunction with the Grand Opening of Mobo Business Center in Masbate last week, March 18, 2022.
Over 1,154 work opportunities offered by 17 local employers, including Oppo, Cignal & Satellite, Converge, Globe, PLDT, Smart, I Promote, Mandalagan Commodities Inc., Des Marketing Inc., New Staple Marketing, Twinpeak Marketing, DMCI, Maselco, MMWD, Prycegas, Bituon Beach Resort, and Danielas Swimming Pool, were up for grabs.
Post – job fair report revealed 88 applicants have passed the evaluation process, in which 57 applicants were hired on the spot (HOTS), while 31 others were considered hired but needed more assessment to fully qualify for the position they applied for.
Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita said the return of face-to-face job fair is DOLE’s commitment to provide decent and productive employment to every Bicolano worker, through program partners and local employers.
DOLE Bicol aims to provide opportunities and to serve workers, employers, and job seekers, not just in Masbate Province, but also across the other five (5) Bicol provinces including Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes and Sorsogon.
