Classes for School Year 2021-2022 will start on September 13, 2021, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Friday.
In a statement, the DepEd said President Rodrigo Duterte approved the date from the options recommended by Education Secretary Leonor Briones.
The Department has also proposed the dates August 23, 2021 and September 6, 2021 for School Year 2021-2022.
“We thank the President for his full support to the delivery of quality basic education for the incoming school year,” the DepEd said.
The school calendar for the upcoming school year will be released soon, it added.
