Cavite Representative Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla shall be the Secretary of Justice (DOJ) in the incoming Marcos administration.
In a briefing with reporters, Remulla said the offer to him was a rare opportunity given to a lawyer like him.
“I didn’t apply for the job. Pero ang talagang gusto niyang mangyari, sabi niya nga, ‘We cannot afford to fail. We have to do a good job.”, he said, referring to Marcos’ assuring him of the challenges.
He has no other intention but to do the best job possible for the people.
‘Yan ang sinasabi namin talaga na very rare chance given by the people to serve so the opportunity is there to do it and do it the best way possible,” he said.
Remulla said the country’s justice system has a lot of problems.
A special election could be held or a caretaker could be appointed for his district.
