Eleven (11) armed men of different associations were arrested at around 1:30 in the morning of May 9, 2022 by the blocking force in Barangay Burabod, Castilla by combined elements of PNP Sorsogon and Castilla MPS.
On board two vehicles, a grey TOYOTA Innova with Plate Number NAQ 2284 and black MISTUBISHI Monterro with Plate Number EAA 9257 are now in the custody of Castilla MPS.
The suspects were positively identified by barangay officials of Macalaya allegedly harassed by the group and presently in the custody of the local police station. Assorted firearms and live ammunitions were recovered from the suspects and to undergo ballistic examination to determine if involved in shooting incident off shoot of reported incident by concerned citizens of Barangay Macalaya.
In an interview of Bicol Express News, PMAJ Marmay Fartingca, OIC COP, lauded the assistance of provincial command of PCOL Arturo Brual for the immediate response sending QRT (Quick Response Team and RRT (Rapid Response Team) to assist the local MPS.
Presently, MPS Castilla was augmented by the provincial police force since it is in an orange category which means on alert level for possible violence.
