Preparations are underway for the opening of the new building of Colegio de Castilla (Community College) built in Barangay San Rafael, Castilla, Sorsogon.
Municipal Mayor Isagani Bong Mendoza recently led the inspection by the Technical Working Group (TWG) which includes Municipal Engineer Jess Abitria Planning & Development Officer, Raquel Dollison Budget Officer, Nikki Marbella Human Resources, and Management Officer Gelita I. Arcos, Administrator Atty . Valino, and Sangguniang Bayan Officials, with Hon. Elmer Mirandilla Salome Marantal, Erick Navas, Vilma Marticio and other LGU employees.
According to Mayor Mendoza, the new building of Colegio de Castilla was built with the help of Sorsogon Governor, Hon. Chiz Escudero and Congresswoman, Hon. Evelina “Nanay Evie” Escudero.
The TWG discussed the additional equipment, cleaning and other necessities needed in the college building for its opening, free to all Castillanos.
According to Mayor Mendoza, the community college will be of great help as it will reduce the expenses of the parents.
However, the Mayor urged the students to give their parents importance for their efforts on their education, one of the treasures they will use in the future.
