LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Bicol University (BU) top official denied sending solicitations to suppliers and persons having contracts with the university.
The denial was issued Tuesday by BU President Arnulfo M. Mascariñas.
“We would like to inform and alert everyone who might have received solicitations allegedly coming from my office, requesting financial assistance from our suppliers and those who have direct dealings with Bicol University. I have never authorized any and all forms of financial collections from our suppliers and those with existing contracts with Bicol University,” he warned.
“Please be careful of people using my name on behalf of any solicitations (in cash or in kind) or that of the Office of the President, Bicol University.”
“If you have been a recipient of any solicitations, or know of such illegal activities, kindly alert us and report it directly to my office or message us at the official FB page of Bicol University. Thank you.”, Mascariñas said in his post.
He did not give details on how deep the fake solicitations have circulated around.
