LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Land Transportation Regional Office in Rawis, Legazpi City was temporarily closed early Monday (June 7, 2021) , including the Legazpi City District office in Aquende Drive, and the Sorsogon District office at Cabid-an, Sorsogon City.
The closure was due to a probable Covid positive employee who visited the office mentioned, in spite of the disinfection done. It said safety is a priority.
The public information was posted on their Facebook page, apologising for the inconvenience. There was no mention of when it will resume operation.
The public is in the dark, especially those with soon-to-expire registration and licenses during the closure.
It was not mentioned, either they will be given a reprieved, or the corresponding penalty for expired license and registration falling in the temporary closure of operation.
Initially, the Regional Office, the Legazpi District and Virac offices were temporarily closed last June 3 until 6, but the latest posting did not include Virac district office to undergo temporary closure, but added to the list the Sorsogon District Office.
