SORSOGON CITY — As a corporate social responsibility Peter Paul Corporation notched another milestone by partnering with Bicol South Luzon Sub-National Reference Laboratory Regional Blood Center after successfully concluding its 5th “Dugong Alay, Sagip Buhay” blood donation drive on October 27 this year held at their employees lounge
With 126 participants donating 450cc each of precious blood from PNP and BFP organic personnel of Sorsogon and regular donors from PPC employees aside from walk-in donors will enhance the blood banking system of Bicol. The activity was assisted by the City Health East District Office and the Environmental Health and Safety Department of PPC was actively involved in the process.
It was a two-in-one approach to bloodletting and blood typing thereby in a registry of names that can become donors in extreme situations to fellow Sorsoganons in need of blood transfusion after identifying Type ‘AB’ the royal type of blood.
Peter Paul Corporation extends to the latest batch of lifesavers whom they called “Heroes” for a little of their sacrifice means a life to live.
