MAGALLANES, Sorsogon – The teachers from Hubo Elementary School of Magallanes North District, Division of Sorsogon together with two volunteers on board a motorized banca encountered rough sea current causing it to capsize at around 8:30 in the morning May 3.
The boat encountered rough seas with an uncharacteristic strong wind that flip and cause it to capsize according to the Facebook post of Rolena Hachaso-Bon Derilon, one of the teachers on board.and assigned at the elementary school.
Their personal belongings include a laptop, cell phones, teaching materials are no longer serviceable.
The teachers were rescued eventually.
