NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur – The Naga City Council enacted the Mental Health Care Ordinance aimed to modernize existing mental health care facilities and promote non-discrimination on its services that covered the provision of guidance in caring for residents suffering from mental health conditions.
With the ordinance the city government will provide humanitarian assistance for mental health care at Naga City Hospital to improve its handling capacity for such cases including those in remote barangays.
Training for mental health will be conducted among barangay health workers and community counseling is part of City Ordinance No. 2021-028.
