In a Circular the Office of Sorsogon Diocesan Bishop through the Diocesan Chancellor with grief announced the death of Rev. Fr. Jesus Averilla Enciso, 75, around 10:45 in the morning of August 31, 2023, at the Intensive Care Unit of a local hospital due to a Myocardial Infraction (Heart Attack).
Father Enciso is from Donsol, Sorsogon, and was ordained to the Priesthood on June 29, 1975, at St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome by Pope Paul VI. His religious formative years is with the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Seminary(1971) and studied theology in 1975 at the University of Santo Tomas.
His remains lie in state at the Home for the Clergy, Bibinchan this city and will be buried at the Sorsogon Catholic Cemetery.
The concelebrated funeral mass will be presided over by Bishop Jose Alan Dialogo, D.D. on Monday, September 4, 2023, at 2:00 in the afternoon at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral Parish, Sorsogon City.
