SORSOGON CITY – In an Executive Order(EO No. 28-2021) City Mayor Ester Hamor imposed a 14 day granular or diametric containment upon the recommendation of the local COVID-19 Task Force.
The possible granular containment may be imposed in Barangay Bibincahan, Burabod, Pangpang, Salog, and Balogo where Covid-19 cases are high. The strategy is to mitigate the further spread of the virus on identified hotspots wherein the period of containment can be adjusted as recommended of district health offices, city health office and the local COVID-19 Task Force to facilitate contact tracing and limit the movement of close contacts.
The containment may affect households, compounds, streets, purok, sitio and other areas identified which will be enforced by the local PNP to ensure that all quarantine protocols are observed. The movement of residents in the contained areas will be monitored. Frontliners are allowed unhampered access in the identified areas. Additional personnel to monitor and imposed the containment will be aided by AFP, reservist, BJMP, BFP, SK3, CDRRMO, Barangay officials and its auxiliary force.
The city’s social welfare was directed to ensure that basic necessities and commodities to the families residing in the affected areas are provided.
