A person was killed, four (4) others were injured in a self-accident that occurred on the boundary of Sitio Cagdagat and Barangay Trece Martires in Casiguran, Sorsogon Province.
According to reports, the van was traveling along the Maharlika Highway from Manila to Bulan.
The driver of the van, Jonas Dalogdog Concha, 28, a young man and resident of San Mateo, Rizal, allegedly fell asleep, causing him to take the other side of the road, hit the concrete barrier, and smashed a nearby parked motorcycle.
As of press time, the passengers are still in the hospital after the accident, while authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.
