Vice President Leni Robredo announced the availability of MOLNUPIRAVIR for treatment of Covid-19 patients who may be prescribed to take them under the Bayanihan E-Konsulta Program.
“Earlier today, Monday, we signed a Memorandum of Agreement with QualiMed Health Network on providing assistance for referred patients prescribed with Molnupiravir, an oral pill for the treatment of mild to moderate cases of COVID-19,” VP Robredo said in her FB post.
” In the agreement, the OVP will issue a guarantee letter under our special medical assistance program to any qualified patient referred by our volunteer doctors at Bayanihan E-Konsulta,” the Vice-President said.
“In turn, QualiMed facilties will then further assess and prescribe the medicine to the patient,” she explained.
The first shipment of Molnupiravir arrived in the country last November 17, the first in Southeast Asia.
“We are truly humbled and grateful to the QualiMed Health Network for trusting us with this partnership, helping us extend our reach in delivering aid to more of our kababayans in need,” the Vice-President said.
