Blackout had engulfed Sorsogon Province on Sunday night, as the outage affected the service providers, SORECO I and SORECO II.
Officially, NGCP said it was “unscheduled power interruption” affecting Sorsogon Province, on 1 August 2021, Sunday at 7:46PM.
NGCP said it identified the outage at Daraga-Sorsogon 69 kV line.
On going line patrol was dispatched to determine the root cause of the outage.
The brief details were sent via text message forwarded by NGCP to Bicol Express News.
NGCP said, the fault is along Daraga-Sorsogon 69KV Line due to tripping of breaker/voltage unbalance.
NGCP troubleshooting was ongoing as of Sunday night.
Sources said the restoration of power service would take 3 or more hours.
