In Catanduanes province, a tragic incident happened about a policeman shooting dead his wife, his 3-year old son over a family quarrel, and the policeman turned his gun on himself, ended his life by committing suicide.
Responding policemen found the Malasa family – police-husband, wife, and 3 year old son – covered with blood and lifeless inside their house in Barangay Hawan Ilaya, Virac, Catanduanes, Saturday morning.
The 3-year-old son of the couple, covered with blood, but still conscious, was rushed by police to the hospital but he died on arrival.
The Catanduanes Police Provincial Office in a report said the couple had an argument that resulted in the shooting of the wife by the police husband.
The policeman allegedly came home from a drinking party and inside the house, the couple had an argument.
In the middle of the argument, the policeman allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the 28 -year -old wife on the head, the bullet penetrating her, hitting the child she was carrying.
After the incident, the policeman also shot himself with his service firearm.
Jealousy, In the initial investigation, was the reason for the dispute between the couple.
According to the report, the couple got married in September last year, with the policeman -husband already 3 years in the service.
