A pilot instructor and his student escaped death after their Cessna plane crashed, when it hit a mango tree during takeoff in Barangay Dahican, Mati City, Davao Oriental on Monday morning.
Authorities said pilot instructor Manuel Meyra and his student Jeremiah Casamura Agonia were brought to Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center after the accident.
The Cessna 150 plane, with body number RPC9005 owned by Mactan Aviation, was on its training flight from Davao City to Mati, Davao Oriental, while taking off, hit a mango tree and crashed.
