The highest number of COVID-19 cases was recorded in the Philippines with 37,207 today as of Friday, January 14, 2022. Meanwhile, 9,027 were cured and 81 died, according to the Department of Health.
Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 8.5% (265,509) were active cases, 89.8% (2,811,188) were cured, and 1.69% (52,815) died.
According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on January 12, 2022 while there were 8 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 8 labs was approximately 1.7% in all samples tested and 2.5% in all positive individuals.
Everyone is reminded not to be complacent about the threat of COVID-19. Instead, we must continue to adhere to minimum public health standards and always wear a facemask, do physical distancing, and wash our hands. As soon as you feel symptoms, IMMEDIATELY ISOLATE and test.
