On Thursday, April 28, 2022, the newly constructed two-storey PAGCOR Multi Purpose Evacuation Center (MPEC) was inaugurated at Barangay Salogon, San Jose, Camarines Sur.
Atty. Alfredo Lim, PAGCOR President and Chief Operating Officer, officially turned over the evacuation center to San Jose Mayor Doc Mac Chavez.
“ABC” Antonio B. Chavez, former Mayor of San Jose, delivered a brief message, commending PAGCOR’s community projects to the town..
ABC Chavez, during his term as Mayor, was involved in the town planning stage.

His son, the incumbent Mayor, coordinated the project implementation phase.
“Thank you very much Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) headed by Chair and CEO Andrea Domingo, and. President and COO Atty Alfredo Lim and the honorary Board Members, for our newly constructed two-storey Multi-Purpose Evacuation Center (MPEC) worth 50 Million pesos,” said Mayor DocMac Chavez, during the turnover program.
“We are grateful to have this one-of-a-kind infrastructure that will help our constituents during calamities, so that when the next calamity come, they will have a shelter to keep them safe,” he added.
“We also extend our gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Theresa Z. Oliver for donating the lot for the evacuation center building,” said Mayor Doc Mac Chavez.
