Naga City Government entered into an agreement with a government State college for transport planning.
On Monday, on the representation of Mayor Son Legacion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), in collaboration with the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), through their College of Engineering and Architecture, was signed regarding the simplification and improvement of Naga’s transportation.
This is an amendment to DO No. 2017-011 of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), or the Omnibus Planning and Identification of Public Road Transportation Services and Franchise Issuance which aims to improve road connectivity among communities in need, especially for socio-economic activity.
Naga’s partnership with BISCAST in the academic sector is to conduct the necessary studies for the preparation of Local Public Transport Plan in the City, for the creation of interventions, policies or infrastructures that will help mobilize City transportation.
