Naga City in Camarines Sur is under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) beginning Wednesday, June 16, until June 30, 2021.
The city has been registering increasing number of covid-19 cases, alarming hospitals of incapability to accommodate more new patients.
Few days ago, Bicol Medical Center in Naga, the largest hospital complex in the Bicol region, has closed its doors to new Covid patients due to full capacity.
As of Tuesday afternoon, concerned citizens were apprehensive over the indecisive posturing of City officials over the formulation of precise guidelines under MECQ that will affect Naga’s business community.
Meantime, there are reports of moves by some sectors of placing the entire region under lockdown.
