Controversial Sorsogon board member Atutubo is Covid-19 positive

Not yet over for Sorsogon board member Edmundo Atutubo, he is now Covid 19 positive.

After he was declared “persona non grata” by the Irosin town council on Monday, after an incident of him punching the face of Irosin Administrator Lorenzo Ubalde on Friday, the jinx had not left him.

Now, he is positive of Covid-19 despite of being active in the fight against the virus.

Atutubo, in a statement made public on Friday morning, May 28, admitted he is positive of Covid-19.

He said the mild symptoms started manifesting on Monday, May 25.

He said, to follow health protocols, those persons he had contact with 2 days before the onset of the symptoms on May 23, Sunday, are considered “direct close contacts”.

It is not yet known if those people inside the Irosin gymnasium where the Information Caravan against Covid-19 was held on Friday, May 21 are included in the contact tracing.

Atutubo is the key player of Sorsogon Provincial’s controversial Task Force on Covid-19.

It is not yet confirmed if he had vaccination. I Bicol Express News
