‘Kayaking’ will be publicly opened in the coming days in Casiguran town, province of Sorsogon.
It is a new tourist attraction, “thrilling experience”, on Casiguran River.
According to Mayor Edwin ‘Boboy’ Hamor, he wants the youth to be happy and excited even in the pandemic, it will relieve boredom and stress.
Mr. Angel Ayala, Municipal Information and Tourism Officer, said Casiguranon youth can use the Kayak for free, but there are rules that need to be followed.
LGU Casiguran will manage the project through the Tourism Office.
Ayala added that this will only be done on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, so as not to interfere with young people who take online classes and modules.
Last Sunday, October 10, Mayor Hamor, Vice Mayor Dennis Escudero and Department Heads led the dry-run of Kayaking on the Casiguran River.
According to Mayor Hamor, this is a new attraction in Casiguran, where Casiguranons have new exciting entertainment.
Apart from Kayaking, people can also go fishing in the area as more than 20,000 tilapia fingerlings have been released into the Casiguran River.
Mayor Hamor said this is an additional livelihood for Casiguranons.
