Barangay Chairman Alex Sotto of Poblacion, Castilla, Sorsogon will file his Certificate of Candidacy as mayor today, October 5 at around two o’clock in the afternoon according to a reliable source.
Sotto recently announced his candidacy in a media gathering at Villa Sotto Resort which was attended by at least twenty barangay chairmen of the town. With him is retired municipal engineer Danny Laurenaria and former administrator Ian Llona.
The source also revealed that Barangay Kagawad Rowel Cal-Ortiz and Laurenaria will join the ticket of Sotto. The slate for vice-mayor is open and the remaining six slots for municipal councilors.
He will be contesting the mayorship of Castilla, Sorsogon against re-electionist Mayor Isagani Mendoza who also filed his COC already with his vice-mayor and six councilors.
