Albay Provincial Police Office on Sunday said the unidentified dead man in Bacacay, Albay was Jaime Bandagosa, 43, a resident of Barangay Capantawan, Legazpi City.
The victim was positively identified by his brother, Joseph Bandagosa , who went to the Bacacay police station around 2 pm Saturday.
However, Joseph refused to submit the corpse for autopsy, and told the police he was not interested in continuing the investigation.
Victim Jaime was tied on all fours, with his legs tied, his hands handcuffed, and bullet wounds to the head and various parts of his body when he was found in a ditch next to a road.
The body was found near a funeral home in Purok 6 of Barangay Tambongon, Bacacay, Albay around 7 a.m., Friday, November 12.
At first glance, it looked like the dead body was dumped in the area after the man was killed somewhere, police earlier said.
Police said, at closer look, there were bullet casings, .45 and 9mm calibers, highly probable the victim was shot at the site where he was found.
