The Local Government Unit of Gubat, Sorsogon Province, received 2nd Runner-Up Award for PANGANIBAN MANGROVE AREA: TULAY SA TIBO in DENR’s #IbaKaJuan search for Best Mangrove Award in Bicol Region for the year 2022.
The awarding ceremony was held Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Legaspi City.
The Gubat Municipal Administrator together with MENRO Staffs, Representatives from the Mayor’s Office, Representatives from Panganiban Barangay Council and President of Panganiban People’s Organization accepted the award.
LGU-Gubat through Mayor Sharon Rose G. Escoto appreciated the award, and the recognition of the efforts of MENRO, the Panganiban community, the Technical Working Group for Tulay sa Tibo, the Gubat Inc., the ABS-CBN Foundation, Sunlife Foundation and other stakeholders in the management of Tulay sa Tibo.
The LGU commits to continue the conservation, protection and management of our mangrove forest.
