“Ginubat Mural” the newest attraction of the Gubat Heritage Center, can be viewed at the Center’s patio, in Gubat, Sorsogon.
Inspired by the “Ginubat” legend of how the town got its name, the mural is designed and executed by four promising young “Gubatnon” painters: Joshua Fajardo, Jhaz Enguerra, Daniel Hubilla, and Hanna Lingayo through the mentorship of visual artist, Mr. Gilbert Gorospe.
The mural serves as a reminder to locals and visiting guests of the colorful oral tradition of Gubat, including the rich heritage of the town even during the pre-colonial times.
The Gubat Heritage Center extended its gratitude to Boysen Philippines through the assistance of Ms. Amy Rocha-Tamondong for the paints used for the mural.
