Busy professionals in Metro Manila can make a fast weekend break, frolicking at the white beach at Atulayan Island, then be back again on Monday for work.
Atulayan Island is accessible from Barangay Nato, Sagñay, Camarines Sur, in 30 minutes boat ride.
Barangay Nato, Sagñay is 9 hours drive from Manila passing through Naga City.
By plane, an hour flight to Naga airport, from there, an hour drive by car to Barangay Nato.
According to tourist officer Marygrace Chavez, Atulayan Island is the best tourist destination for Manila professionals who are looking forward to relax for the weekend , easily accessible that they will be back in Manila on Monday for business meetings.
“For family tourism, Atulayan Island is better option than the usual well-travelled destinations that are overcrowded,” tourism officer Chavez said.
To visit Atulayan Island, boats are available at Barangay Nato, travel time about 30 minutes boat ride from Nato Wharf.
Boat transfers must be arranged with Tourism Staff and Promotion Team stationed at the Barangay Hall of Nato, to secure for the COASTGUARD Manifest and Health Declaration form as per ordinance.
Boat can only accommodate limited number of persons, hence they practice the proper Health Protocols.
