An hour before noontime of Sunday, October 30, power had been restored in Casiguran and other towns in Sorsogon Province.

But, such power restoration should have been done yesterday.

According to locals, power should have been restored last night as tropical Storm Paeng had left the province earlier,

Paeng plowed the other provinces with heavy rainfalls, causing flooding, as it moved toward Metro Manila areas, and finally out to West Philippine Sea.

Townfolks deplored the snail speed of the Sorsogon I Electric Cooperative for failing to restore power since yesterday, Saturday.

Affected towns were Casiguran, Magallanes, Juban, Bulan, Irosin, Bulusan, Matnog and Santa Magdalena.

In the lattest social media post of Soreco I said, “We deeply apologize for the power failure. Despite dedicated effort, power services cannot be restored yesterday.”

NGCP power restoration and troubleshooting activities will resume early morning today, said Soreco I.

Meanwhile, the NGCP Power Interruption scheduled October 30,2022 is again cancelled and is tentatively moved to November12, 2022.

Troubleshooting of NGCP Line is still on-going today. Possible fault is between Juban and Bgy. Tinampo, according to Soreco I.
